& Why the End Times Starts with a Great War

The end times launch with a great war. In Jesus’ Olivet Discourse, as recorded in Matthew 24, in addition to a host of devastating events including earthquakes, famine, and pestilences, we are told the nations will “rise” to war against each other. Interestingly, the litany of devastating events listed by Jesus in that single verse are all covered in Revelation 6. Which, not coincidentally, is the first chapter in Revelation that describes the beginning of God’s wrath starting the end times. Therein rides the “Red Horse” bringing global war. Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 describes the beginning of this war as coming with “sudden destruction” in line with Jesus and John’s words.

How Close is Global War?

How close is this global war foretold by the prophets? Fortunately, there are a few very specific events that must first take place according to a literal reading of various prophets.
